My initial training began at an early age while watching my artist father, Frederick W. Stringer, a prominent artist in the Los Angeles area during the Art Deco period. Some of his style of painting is still incorporated in my work.

While still young and residing in Southern California, I received many art awards and worked on several prize winning Rose Parade floats. I moved to the San Francisco Bay area in the 70's where I won several awards, among them first place for two consecutive years in the Alameda County Fair Fine Art Competition.

Of all the many media, my favorite is watercolor.

My work is among many private collections and corporate offices such as Dow Chemical, Citicorp, Marriott Hotels and Ramada Renaissance Hotels. I currently show my work at the Sierra Art Gallery in the Sierra Nevada. I reside and paint in Idaho, an inspiring area for my art.
